European automobile maker Volkswagen today launched a new version of their SUV Touareg in India at a starting price of Rs 58.5 Lakh (ex-showroom price in Delhi).The new generation Touareg will be available to customers in diesel variant in automatic transmission from end of September, the company said in a statement.
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Managing Director Arvind Saxena said on the launch event, “India is a key market for our overall strategic growth plans and we are sure that the launch of the best products will affirm our commitment to provide the latest technologies and high value to our Indian customers.”
The new Touareg is 41mm longer, 12 mm wider than its previous version. Touared is equipped with a powerful V6 TDI engine that delivers a fuel mileage of 12.08 KMPL.
The SUV boasts of bi xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and a panoramic sunroof. The new Touareg has ’14 way’ electrically adjustable front seats and two piece front center armrest with movable with storage compartment. It comes packed with safety features such as ABS with brake assistant driver,Electronic Stability Control (ESP) & passenger airbags.This new SUV of Volkswagen will be available in 7 catchy color: Pure White, Deep Black, Cool Silver metallic, Night Blue metallic, Graciosa Brown metallic, Galapagos anthracite metallic and Campanella White.
